Storage and files

Team storage Anymelk provides team storage for files the team shares — listing photos, PDF brochures, scanned contracts, amenity icons, and attachments not suited to database fields alone. Open Organization → Storage (requires storage read permission). Upload and delete typically need higher storage manage or feature-specific create rights. Storage is scoped to the workspace — files do not leak across teams when you switch the sidebar switcher. Storage overview page The storage landing summarizes: Usage vs plan quota (when quotas enabled) Folder or category breakdown if configured Links to file browser or upload entry points Watch usage before bulk photo imports — large shoots consume quota quickly. Uploading files Common upload paths: From storage area 1. Open Storage → Files (or files sub-route) 2. Click Upload 3. Select files — images, PDFs, office documents per allowed types 4. Confirm — files receive stable links or IDs for linking From listing (and other) forms Listing media fields often upload directly into storage backend, associating files with the listing automatically. Prefer this path for listing photos so galleries stay wired correctly. Same pattern may exist for customer documents or task attachments. Linking files to work Uploaded files become selectable in: Listing galleries — primary marketing visuals Team settings — logos Broadcasts or internal docs when features enable attachments Deleting a file referenced by a live listing may break gallery links — confirm with listing agent before cleanup. File browser conventions Folders or prefixes may mirror areas (`properties/`, `marketing/`) depending on setup. Use descriptive filenames (`1042-living-room.jpg`) so search and review remain human-readable. Versioning is typically replace not history — keep originals locally if legal requires retention. Permissions | Action | Typical permission | |--------|-------------------| | View storage usage | Storage read | | Browse/download files | Storage read | | Upload | Storage create / manage | | Delete | Storage delete / manage | Line agents upload via listing forms without opening storage admin daily. Office managers curate quota on storage page. Quotas and billing Plans may cap total megabytes or file count. Hitting quota blocks new uploads — listing saves may fail on media step. Remediation: 1. Remove obsolete files from archived listings 2. Compress images before upload 3. Owner upgrades plan or purchases storage add-on Billing overview may reference storage limits alongside features. Security practices Do not upload national ID scans unless agency policy mandates and access is restricted Watermark marketing photos before external share — storage copies may be full resolution Offboarded members lose access instantly — storage stays team property Practical steps: new listing photos 1. Photographer sends ZIP locally 2. Agent opens listing edit → media section 3. Upload selects best 8–12 images 4. Storage quota increments automatically 5. Archive listing later — decide whether to delete media or keep for historical marketing Team storage centralizes assets so the next agent updating a listing finds photos without asking WhatsApp history.
