Team settings and profile

Friday, July 17th, 2026·3 min read·Updated Jul 17, 2026

Two different settings areas Anymelk separates team settings (workspace-wide) from user profile settings (personal account). Confusing them leads to “I changed language but approvals still old” moments — different screens, different scopes. User profile settings Open Settings from the sidebar footer (gear labeled for your account). Personal settings typically include: Display name and avatar Email (where editable) Password change Language preference — English vs Persian UI Theme — light/dark when available Notification preferences personal toggles Home page preferences may sync here or from customize dialog Profile settings follow you across teams — switching agency does not reset language. They do not change listing categories, approval rules, or billing. Team settings Open Organization → Settings (requires manage settings permission — usually owners and office managers). Team settings govern the workspace: Identity & branding Team name shown in switcher Logo or branding fields when enabled Public contact info for internal documents Operational rules Approvals — require review for listing/buyer request creates or updates; edit-lock duration Matching toggles or thresholds when configurable Attendance or feature-specific options on eligible plans Default currency and locale behaviors for listings Feature configuration Some areas expose team defaults — reminder policies, task settings, etc. Exact fields depend on enabled features. Changes here affect every member immediately or on next save — communicate before toggling approvals mid-week. Team overview page Organization → Overview (read permission) shows summary cards — member count, plan hints, storage usage links — without edit forms. Agents may view overview read-only; leads jump to settings from links. Who edits what | Task | Where | |------|-------| | Change my password | User Settings | | Switch UI to Persian | User Settings | | Enable listing approvals | Team settings | | Rename agency | Team settings | | Invite teammate | Team , not settings | | Pin home widget | Customize on home | Personal vs team data Listings, customers, buyer requests belong to the team . Your user account is the key — removal from team removes access but team data remains for others. Deleting personal account is a separate support flow — do not expect it to wipe team inventory. Best practices for managers Document team setting changes in internal wiki (“2026-07 — approvals on for buyer requests”) Restrict manage settings to small group After changing approval rules, announce in team chat with My submissions link Best practices for agents Keep profile name recognizable — activity history shows who edited listings Set language once; do not ask lead to “fix Persian” on team settings If app behavior changes suddenly, ask if owner altered team settings before debugging your process Clear separation keeps personal preference personal and agency policy centralized.
